Welcome to the North American Studies Program!

North American Studies have a long tradition in Bonn. Established as a joint venture between different disciplines in 1991 and closely cooperating with the University of Cologne, the North American Studies Program is dedicated to the study of the United States and Canada as an innovative transdisciplinary academic inquiry, to intercultural exchange, and to transatlantic relations.

You are interested in exploring the cultures, histories, and political and economic systems of the United States and Canada? Our new and exciting MA North American Studies builds on more than 15 years of experience in collaborative research and teaching and offers you the unique opportunity to do North American Studies in a transdisciplinary, intercultural, and research orientated MA program.
